Bears Split weekend Home Games

Muskoka Bears hosted back to back Home games last weekend Dec 12 and 13th. Innisfil was the opponent on Friday and after giving up a late goal in the 1st, the Bears came storming back with Isaac Oakes evening the score, and new acquisition Emmitt Robilliard, potting his 1st as a Bear, to take a 2-1 lead into the 3rd period. Sam Litt put the Bears up a couple with his 7th, and Wil Muszynski banged home a rebound for a 4-1 lead and stayed in front from that poin ton grabbing a 4-2 victory. Robilliard was named Waste Connections Canada player of the Game. Bracebridge native, Joseph Degan was outstanding in net, as he stopped 42 shots in his 1st regular season victory, in the PJHL.

Saturday night was rematch with the Penetang kings who really have the Bears number this year, and it was the Bears who jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Bears goal leader Kevin Demeules with his 12th, and Wil Muszynski‘s 8th. After that it was Penetang who tallied the next 3 for a 3-2 lead before Bears North Conference’s Prospect Game pick Tyson jennings tied the game with his 3rd of the year. The Kings potted the next 2 before Robilliard scored again to bring the Bears within one, but was all for nothing as Kings got an empty netter for the 6-4 win.
