Muskoka Bears traveled to Midland Friday night to face the Flyers. Despite jumping out to a two goal lead, they cufnt hang on and lost a nail biter 3-2. Jacob Budney and Gavin Darlow scored for the Bears.
A quick turnaround as the Bears faced their neighbor’s to the north, Huntsville Otters . Another nail biter ensued as goals by Tyson Jennings, and Jacob Budney with his 3rd of the year on a penalty shot, were not enough as the Otters potted a late goal with 2 minutes left in 3rd period, to win the first game of the all Muskoka matchup. Bears outshot the Otters by a wide margin in the third period 16-3, but could not beat Otters hot goalie Darien Willis.
It was a full house vs Huntsville with the biggest attendance yet at 852 people, largest Jr C Hockey crowd in a long time in Muskoka.
Bears next home game is Sunday 29th, at 2 pm vs Stayner Siskins.
