Bears comeback comes up short at home vs Siskins

Muskoka Bears hosted the Stayner Siskins at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre last Saturday to wrap up the month of November.

Stayner jumped out to a quick lead, but the Bears battled back to score two quick responses from Wil Muszynski, and Captain Aiden MacDonald to take a 2-1 lead. Stayner replied back with two of their own to take a 3-2 lead into the 2nd frame. Siskins stretched their lead to 5-2, before a hot Sam Litt drilled his 7th of the year to make it 5-3. With time winding down in the 2nd, Stayner got a lat goal to go up 6-3 heading to final frame.

Bears came out in 3rd on fire and outsit Siskins 14-5 in the 3rd period, and were rewarded with goals by Reid Lessard, and MacDonalds 2nd of the game, to bring them within one to 6-5, but the comeback fell short as clock was the Bears enemy and Stayner prevailed 6-5, in a very entertaining game at the Lumber Yard. Jakob Madeiros was the Waste Connections Canada Player of the Game, with 4 assists, and was in on all the Bears goals except one.

Bears now have a well deserved break till December 12th when they host Innisfil, and December 13th, hosting Penetang.
