Bears Come up short on Sunday

Sunday and Manna Food Bank Day seen the Bears host Innisfil, and an attendance of 391 people seen a great hockey game, that went back and forth rush after rush, with Bears goalie Gabriel Donohue turning away Innisfil chances time after time. Innisfil had a 1 goal lead, till Jacob Budney tied the game ripping one into the top corner.
The Spartans broke thru with a power play goal to go up one, then potted two more after Bears got into some Penalty problems.
Budney again broke thru with 3 minutes left in 3rd,and Bears goalie pulled, and with Bears shorthanded,  sniped another to give the Bears life. The crowd sensed a comeback and were rewarded when speedster Parker MacAdams got the Bears to within one, again going high on the Innisfil goalie.
Bears just couldn’t get the puck into the Spartans end in the last minute, and went down in an exciting game 4-3.
Congratulations to AP player Matteo Luppi, getting his first PJHL Jr C point.
Thank you to everyone for supporting the Bears and Manna Food Bank.
