Muskoka Bears Jr C Hockey Club are pleased to announce our 1st signing for 2025/26 team, goaltender Kyle Downey. A native of Caledon, Ontario, Kyle began his hockey journey with the Toronto Nationals AAA program, before being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2020 OHL draft by the Windsor Spitfires. Over 3 seasons he appeared in in over 40 games in the Major Junior Level, bringing grit and composure between the pipes. Kyle spent the last two seasons with the Stoufville Spirit of the OJHL, where he established himself as a reliable presence in goal, posting a 2.63 goals against average, and a .904 save percentage, across 65+ games. Now turning the page to a new chapter, Kyle is relocating to Muskoka this fall to begin his career apprenticing in the Electrical trade, with ambitions of becoming a Volunteer Firefighter.
